When I am painting time disappears. I try to focus on the major shapes and blocks of color when I begin painting. I try to not be afraid of making mistakes. I want to share the vibrancy, the energy and the hope I see.

Artist Statement

Artistic Journey

I was fortunate because I was taught that art is important. I had my parents permission to be an artist even if it wasn’t ‘practical’. Earning a BA in Fine Art and an MFA in Costume Design led me to a lengthy career as an artist and designer with Walt Disney beginning in 1996. I have along the way exhibited and sold my own work. My current paintings are inspired by the vibrant city of Madrid, my family, our travels and the everyday life around us.
